Yamaha SW60XG Special:
All additional MIDI commands of the SW60XG !

Contents:
  1. Introduction
  2. SW60XG Mixing Block
  3. SW60XG A/D System and Part Settings
  4. Additional Variation effect settings (Intro):
    4a. Pitch Change
    4b. Voice Cancel
4c. Assign A/D Part 1 or 2 to the variation effect

1. Introduction

At this page you can find all additional MIDI commands of the SW60XG, which are not available with a DB50XG for example. Many of these MIDI commands (especially the A/D Part settings) are 'native XG commands' with Model-ID=4C (XG), which should be also functionally with other XG synths featuring A/D Parts too (like the MU10)!!!
Commands with Model-ID=7A (SW60XG) or 49 (DB60XG,SW60XG) will only be accepted from a SW60XG and no other XG synth. Other XG synths featuring A/D Parts too will surely offer similar commands - please read your Yamaha documentation for further information.
I've added the Model-ID to each MIDI command at this page to give users of the MU10 or other XG synths featuring A/D-Parts too the chance to benefit also from the information to A/D Part and System settings at this page.

The table SW60XG Mixing Block includes all available commands to control the Line inputs (L+R), the Mic input, the output level settings and the build-in hardware Karaoke chip to reduce the volume level of the vocals from a song from CD at the Line inputs.

The table A/D System und Part Settings includes all available commands to control both A/D Parts (1 and 2). If you activate the A/D Parts you'll be able to add reverb, chorus and/or the variation effect to incoming signals - like this your SW60XG can be used as a realtime effect processor!
Note:
The default XG volume setting for the A/D Parts is 0 - so you'll need to adjust the volume settings after the activation of an A/D Part.

Last not least you'll find in Chapter 4 all available settings for the additional variation effects 'Pitch Change' and 'Voice Cancel' of the SW60XG.

4. Additional Variation effect settings (Intro)

The Variation effect of the SW60XG offers two additional effects in comparison to the XG Standard: 'Pitch Change' und 'Voice Cancel'. Below you'll find all specific settings for both effects. The common settings for all variation effect types at page 'Variation Effect' are available too of course for both effects.
