At this page you can find several exclusive software downloads for the EWS64.
The programs EWS ProMix, XProMix and the TTI-Converter have been developed by Uwe Kindler -
thanks a lot for his great work!
On some PCs it is not possible to install "Ed!son v1.9" and/or the "EWS64 Windows NT/W2k Applications
v3.0" with the original setup-files from Terratec for any reasons and the installation stops
with an error message. In this case you can use my alternate installation packages downloadable below.

2. EWS ProMix and XProMix
These freeware programs are a MUST for any EWS64 L/XL/XXL user:
EWS ProMix (for Windows 9x) and EWS XProMix (for Windows 2k/XP) are great replacements for the original Terratec
control panels, giving you simple access to nearly any available EWS64 setting in one single window
with separate "strips" for FX settings, Virtual Channel settings, Audio In settings, Codec settings etc.
Useful is the possibility to save/load mixer settings even under W2k/XP, three skins offer different designs,
and the included famous help file gives explanations to any button of (X)ProMix.
Please take a look at EWS ProMix (with default skin):
(IE 6 users should de-activate automatic picture range scaling)
Notes to EWS ProMix with Windows 9x:
Following switches are missing on the EWS64 proMix for Win9x. For setting these switches you will need
the original EWS64 control panel:
- AGC-Switch:
This switch enables the automatic gaincontrol for the MIC-input. It is very usefull for
speech recognition software or dictating software. In case of instrumental or vocal recording for
music you should deactive this function.
- Fade-switch:
I don't have any information about the function of this switch, because I've never used it.
- Setup-switch:
This button makes access possible for the EEPROM-settings. Look at chapter
EEPROM settings for further information.
- Specci-switch:
Specci is a tool to analyse the audio inputs of your computer. It contains a Stereo-VU-Meter,
two different Spectrum Analysers and a Correlation Grade Meter.
Note: You can't make any records with the EWS64 while the program Specci is running.
- Switch Out-1:
While running EWS ProMix, Out-1 is always automatically routed to the Front-Out of the synth.
If the Codec shall be routed to Out-1 instead, EWS ProMix must be finished first and you'll need
to select position "A" for switch Out-1 in the original EWS64 control panel.
Notes to EWS XProMix with Windows 2k/XP:
The "Wave Play Buffer Latency" can only be set-up with the Terratec control panel.
Using W2k/XP it is not possible to select "Codec Mix Out" for Out-1.
Hardware playback of *.mod files is not available using W2k/XP.
Installation notes:
Unzip the folder in the ZIP files to your EWS64 directory (i.e. C:\Program Files\EWS64\)
and run "EWS proMix v1.20.exe" or "EWS XProMix v1.00.exe" depending on your Windows version.
Here you can download EWS ProMix v1.2 for Windows 9x (ZIP; 1,1 MB):
Here you can download EWS XProMix v1.0 for Windows 2k/XP (ZIP; 0,5 MB):
P.S.: The alternate skins for EWS XProMix are currently missing in the ZIP and will be added in future.

3. TTI-Converter
With the freeware "TTI-Converter" from Uwe Kindler you can extract single or all samples from a
TTI instrument to WAV files incl. loop points (if available). Like this you can create own
instruments with samples of already existing TTI files.
Additionally the TTI-Converter can convert TTI files to SF2 files, which can be imported in samplers
like Halion, Kontakt etc. This is only possible for TTI instruments with max. 512 kB samples (Mono),
and all instrument settings which are not supported by the SF2 format will be lost after conversion:
so the resulting SF2 instrument can sound different than the original TTI instrument.
Important: Using W2k/XP, you should run the TTI-Converter always with Administrator rights
to avoid program chrashes!

Here you can download the TTI-Converter v2.02 (ZIP; 0,4 MB):
